Date back to about a decade ago, Americans don’t pay much attention on water pollution issue. So the under counter water filter isn’t that necessary in the US households. Because they believe that the US municipal tap water has been treated and tested under vigorous procedures, which ensures drinking water safety. It’s supposed to be so. However, non-stop water safety crisis occurs that suggested otherwise. Recently, drinking water in Flint, Michigan was found to contain high level of lead, poisoning the residents, especially children. It turned out that, though the water was certified to be safe out of the factory, it traveled to your home with various contaminants along the way. In this case, it carried lead from the old pipes to the homes of over 100,000 residents. Thus, the sole reliance on factory’s treatment to our drinking water is not enough. There is a very high chance that your drinking water comes with lead, chlorine, bacteria, and a bunch of other contaminants that can lead to serious health problems. In all, to meet your household daily water needs for drinking and cooking, the countertop and under-sink filters are your best solution. What is the difference between WD-TSA and WD-TSB ? WD-TSA is designed to connect to your original faucet and has different connecting options for your under sink or a RV. While WD-TSB comes with a lead-free brushed stainless steel faucet. It has a high water flow, giving you clean drinking water anytime you need it. You can make your choice based on the your household needs. What are the differences between WD-TSA / TSB and WD-UA / UB ? WD-TSA/ TSB is the upgrade version of WD-UA/ UB. This 3-stage under the sink filter system is composed of three filters and has more filtration materials than WD-UA/ UB. The added last two filters are full of active carbon to improve water taste greatly. How to replace under counter water filters ? Replacement takes only 3 seconds for its twist-lock design. Just pull off the old filter and insert a new one into the cap. When to replace the filters of this under sink water filtration system ? The 3 filters have a lifespan of 6 months, 8-12 months, and 12-18 months, respectively. The long lifespan reduces the burden of purchasing and replacing filters every now and then. Please make sure to change filters within the recommended lifespan to get best purification performance and avoid the secondary pollution caused by expired filters. What can this under counter water filter remove ? This under counter water filter is more effective than ones with single filter. The PP cotton effectively reduces rust, sand, large particles, etc. The granular activated carbon filter reduces chlorine, taste and odor, thus improving water taste.
