12x18x1 Aerostar Air Filter

About this product

Actual dimensions on the 12x18x1 Aerostar come in at 11 3/4" x 17 3/4" x 3/4", so the filter drops into a nominal 12x18x1 return without binding against the grille edges. That tighter actual size is what filter manufacturers have used for decades, and it's why measuring your existing filter rather than your return opening is the only reliable way to verify fit. Available in MERV 8 for standard household dust and pollen, MERV 11 for pet owners and mild allergy households, and MERV 13 if you're filtering for smoke, fine particulates, or virus-sized aerosols. Each grade uses the same pleated synthetic construction with an electrostatic charge baked into the media. The pleats are what give this filter its capacity - significantly more filter media is folded into the same frame depth compared to a flat fiberglass alternative, which translates to longer service intervals before pressure drop becomes a concern. Manufactured in Orlando, Florida by Con-Air Industries. Plan on a 60-to-90-day change interval for MERV 8 and 11 in typical residential use, or 30 to 60 days for MERV 13 if your home runs pets, frequent cooking, or sits in a wildfire-prone region.
