24x30x1 Aerostar Air Filter

About this product

The 24x30x1 Aerostar fits a nominal 24x30x1 return at 23 7/8" x 29 7/8" x 3/4" actual. Larger-residential and small-commercial returns in this size show up on furnaces serving 2,500-plus square foot homes and on some compact commercial air handlers. MERV 8 covers baseline residential filtration: dust, lint, pollen. MERV 11 captures pet dander, smoke residue, and most common household allergens. MERV 13 handles fine particulates including bacteria, virus carriers, and wildfire smoke - the grade to pick if anyone in the household has respiratory issues or if the home sits in a smoke-affected region. Pleated synthetic media with an electrostatic charge built into the fibers handles the actual filtration. The pleats provide several times the surface area of a flat fiberglass filter at the same nominal size, which is what gets you the 60-to-90-day service interval under typical conditions. The electrostatic charge catches sub-micron particles where mechanical filtration alone runs out of options. Manufactured in the USA by Con-Air Industries, Orlando, Florida. Cardboard frame, reinforced to hold shape under blower suction. MERV 13 in this depth wants a 30-to-60-day change interval because higher filtration grades reach their pressure-drop limit faster than lower MERV options.

• MERV 13 filtration captures fine particulates, bacteria, viruses, and wildfire smoke for cleaner air
• Electrostatically charged synthetic fibers trap sub-micron particles where mechanical filtration fails
• Pleated design provides up to 90 days of service life compared to standard fiberglass filters
• Cardboard frame reinforced for shape retention under blower suction
• Manufactured in the USA for quality assurance
